Shan Xue, Senior Research Analyst, IHS Markit, focuses on coal and power markets in China. Ms. Xue’s main research focus includes coal and power supply and demand fundamentals analysis, energy intensity analysis, long-term provincial coal and power supply and demand modeling, and Chinese energy company profiles. She also participates in consulting works on Chinese coal and power markets. Prior to joining IHS Markit, Ms. Xue was a research consultant at Azure International, where she managed various consulting and research engagements on clean energy development in China. Previously, she worked as an analyst for a clean automotive technology firm in Beijing. Ms. Xue holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Beijing University of Technology and a Master of Science degree from Ohio State University. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English.
