Andre Knuchel-Takano joined Stonehaven Consulting in April 2021 as an Analyst and is based in London. A multi-disciplinarian, Andre brings a wealth of clinical, research and financial management experience from his previous career spanning veterinary, public health and life sciences industries.
Prior to joining Stonehaven, Andre was at GSK for 4½ years during which he completed the Future Leaders Programme in Finance and a highly coveted global assignment. He rotated through Financial Services, Consumer Healthcare, Respiratory Franchise and Japan Pharmaceuticals whilst serving on multiple committees at local and regional levels. During his time at GSK, he wore multiple hats, covering areas such as controllership, FP&A, business partnering, risk management, capital allocation decision-making and investment appraisals.
Prior to GSK, he was at UK Health Forum1 for 2 years during which he led large-scale population health modelling projects on behalf of clients in government, universities and NGOs across Europe. During his tenure, he also published scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and gave talks at universities and local radio stations.
Andre started his career as a veterinary surgeon, treating thousands of small animal patients over a 3½-year period. He also completed a junior clinical training scholarship at Dick White Referrals, one of Europe's largest veterinary referral centres.
He holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Royal Veterinary College as well as an MSc with Distinction in International Health Management from Imperial College London. He is also an ACMA CGMA Chartered Management Accountant, and is currently working towards an MBA.
In his spare time, he likes to go swimming and hiking. He is an owner of two rescue dogs and a member of the trustee committee at the RSPCA.
