FRTB Management Solution of the Year: S&P Global Market Intelligence wins in Asia Risk Awards 2022
We are delighted to announce that S&P Global Market Intelligence has won the Asia Risk 2022 award for FRTB Management Solution of the Year.
This award recognizes the Traded Market Risk Solution which combines a risk calculation engine with data and data modelling. The solution helps clients in the Standardised Approach (SA) or the Internal Model Approach (IMA).
"This award is a testament to the effort put into building our FRTB product, powered by a best-in-class Trade Data Warehouse to provide the most flexible Risk Factor Utility, adhering to each banks' own unique models". Gil Shefi Managing Director, FRTB, S&P Global Market Intelligence.
FRTB requires a significant investment of time, money and resources from banks as it involves an overhaul of infrastructure and processes in order to manage the requirements. IMA eligibility is now subject to individual desk-level approval with more rigorous performance testing, intraday market risk monitoring and a much stricter data and governance model required.
"Our bespoke cloud native FRTB data and analytics offering has helped our customers navigate the regulation in an ever-changing market environment. We are delighted for our solution and expertise to be recognized by industry experts." Jean Zottner, Product Manager, Traded Market Risk, S&P Global Market Intelligence.
The solution is differentiated by allowing for a single infrastructure across FRTB-TB and FRTB-CVA and an open cloud-native approach. The FRTB modellability service leverages 100+ millions RPOs across all asset classes (IR, FX, FI, CR, EQ) that curates, normalizes and enriches real price observations (RPO) reference data to make them easy to use. It's a turn-key solution, that has been made simple to integrate with pre-defined modellability configurations defined by our FRTB SMEs. The methodology has been made simple to configure for bespoke modellability results.
