The course starts off with a thorough and detailed look at the foundation of our industry - petrochemical feedstocks including natural gas, NGLs, petroleum, coal and bio-based. This discussion leads naturally into the industry's 7 Basic Building Blocks: Syngas, Ethylene, Propylene, C4 Olefins, Benzene, Toluene, and Xylenes. In turn, we explore each building block's value chain, including commodities such as PE, PP, PVC, PS/EPS, PET and Methanol but also we go downstream into more specialized product areas including LAOs, EO/MEG, PO, Phenol, BPA, PC, Epoxies, Acrylics/SAP, Plasticizers, ACN, Synthetic Rubbers, 1,4-BDO, ABS, Nylons, Polyurethanes, PF, MF, UF Resins and others.

Dr. Plotkin's unique and engaging presentation style provides all attendees with a better understanding of the fundamentals that drive industry profitability including chemical structures and properties, process technologies, key producers, end-use applications and market sizes and trade patterns across the petrochemical value chain - all presented in an easy to understand manner. This course will be delivered through live, virtual instruction which you will access from your workstation from an online video conferencing platform.
