This report presents two design cases for the manufacture of acrylonitrile. The first case is based on published Sohio technology that uses propylene and ammonia as starting materials. The second design case is based on Asahi Chemical technology for the conversion of ethylene and hydrogen cyanide to acrylonitrile.
