Published April 1965

This report presents the results of process evaluations of the production of ethylene-propylene copolymer (usually referred to in the trade journals as EPR for ethylene-propylene rubber) and ethylene propylene terpolymer (usually referred to as EPT, but sometimes as S-EPR for sulfur-vulcanizable, sometimes as EPDR or EPRD, D for diene, and sometimes as EPTR). The ASTM tentative recommended practice (ASTM D1418-63T) is to consider these polymers as members of the "M" family of elastomers having a saturation chain of the polymethylene type.
