Styrene and p-Methylstyrene and Polymers This report updates two earlier series of PEP reports, and covers three new topics. Sections 4 and 5 on styrene update Reports 33, 33A, and 33B. Section 7 on polystyrene updates Reports 39 and 39A. The new topics are copolymers of styrene (Section a), p-methylstyrene (Section 6), and polymers of p-methylstyrene (Section 9).

p-Methylstyrene is a new monomer developed by Mobil. In this report, its manufacture is evaluated, and its commercial prospects for use in polymers are discussed.
